“For me, my public sector job helps me take care of my family of 4 without struggling. I've been working since I was 15, but I didn't have any job that helped me take care of myself like this job. This is my first union job. It's easy to promote. It's allowed me to save money and pay off all my debt. I'm happy to say I'm debt free. This is most money I've ever made. Before this I was earning $11 to $14 an hour. My schedule is all over the place. The union benefits me but it also benefits us all as a whole. It helps me keep this job I have and makes me feel secure.”
